Final Frontier created a five-film series for skincare brand, ZHIBEN, under the overall creative direction of Pablo Alfieri, who also signs the direction of three films, and the directorial talents of Ditroit leading two of the pieces.

Each film introduces a range of ZHIBEN products, rendered in tactile 3D motion graphics.  The assorted cast of serums, creams, and foams dance among expansive, abstract environments, crafted to reflect the distinct characteristics of the products.

Pablo, founder and creative director of the collective Playful, and a director on the Final Frontier roster, says:

“Our idea was to elevate ZHIBEN to the next level, crafting a new, natural, and fresh personality to their products, keeping a sense of coherence and visual consistency across all the films.  We took care to find a clean and minimalistic art direction, and an abstract storytelling driven by organic animations and clever transitions.”

Final Frontier executive producer Chris Colman says,

“It was a relatively open brief, so we needed a creative director who would be able to help discover, craft and drive the visual direction, working closely with the client creatives.  It was a dream to have Pablo come in and bring his vision to the series, and we’ve been big fans of Ditroit for a long time.  It was a joy to work with two such incredible talents.”

After a first successful collaboration with Estee Lauder, Pablo Alfieri & Playful created this 15′ stylized film and set of key visuals to deliver the brand’s latest Double Wear Sheer Matte to the world in grand style.

The iconic Panthella lamp was designed by Verner Panton in 1971 and remains today, one of his most popular creations.

As part of an ongoing partnership with Danish lighting design brand Louis Poulsen, Frame was invited to reimagine the Panthella visual universe – whilst emphasizing the 2021 edition color palette of brass, chrome, black, and orange.

Le Cube Studio teamed up with MullenLowe Los Angeles to create a series of illustrations and animations for Seaworthy Hard Nitro Brew.
Seaworthy is a coffee inspired nitro brew, brewed with high-quality specialty malts and cold steeped with 100% Arabica coffee beans.

Sip and Set Sail!

Shane Griffin, aka Grif, was commissioned by Givenchy to craft a film celebrating the 10th anniversary of it’s iconic Antigona handbag.

To do so, the piece unveils the Antigona Soft, a supple, more relaxed version of its elder sister whose curvaceous lines are its key features.

Through flowy motion design and simulation, Grif creates a ballet of elements coming together to present the viewer with a good look at the brand new luxurious fashion item.

We collaborated with Facebook Creative Shop APAC to create a 2D animation campaign for Sephora Skincare Loft.  The 30-second vertical film takes us to a cosy apartment where a woman and her cats have fun with various Sephora skincare products.

The use of animation demonstrates the versatility of the medium and defies the usual expectations for luxury cosmetic brand advertising.

The playful hand-drawn-style campaign appears on Instagram and Facebook across the APAC region in various forms: as a full 30” spot, as separate shorter videos and as animated cinemagraphs.  Each iteration is customised for the viewer, with the real photographed products changing depending on their specific dataset.

For animation studio Wonderlust, the the main challenge was “adding a product shot in a way that would fit with the overall (2D handdrawn) design language”, explains creative director Ryan Rumboldt.
