D&AD Pencils & Lions: FF Awards in 2019

These first 12-months of Final Frontier have been a blast.  Above all, for us it’s all about working with great partners on projects that test the creative limits, but it’s always a satisfying bonus to receive acknowledgment in the shape of awards.  

On that front, we’ve been honoured to receive recognition at some of our favourite festivals across the world, culminating last month in a D&AD Graphite Pencil for Back To The Stars for Ritz-Carlton.

Exceptional creativity, craft and design are the three pillars of all that we do, so we’re delighted to be recognized by shows that award these qualities specifically.

Besides the D&AD Pencil, Back To The Stars was shortlisted at Ciclope Latam, a respected festival focused exclusively on craft, as well as important global shows New York Festivals Advertising Awards and The One Show.

Our other big winner has been Road To HBL for Nike China, the choose-your-own-adventure campaign we made with R/GA Shanghai.  Shortlisted in Digital Craft at Cannes Lions, HBL also won Silver at the Clio Awards and was named among the Top 10 APAC Ads of 2018 by Campaign magazine.

Finally, our other data-driven project, Year With Uber, with R/GA Singapore, won in Digital Craft at Spikes Asia last September.

Key Final Frontier personnel also served on the juries of various awards around the world. Creative director Ralph Karam sat on the Animation jury for D&AD in London, executive producer Chris Colman was on the Creative jury for the Shanghai International Advertising Festival, and fellow EP Gustavo Karam adjudicated for both NYF Advertising Awards and The One Club’s One Screen Short Film Festival.
